The Joint Standing Committee on Migration is holding a public hearing for its inquiry into migration in regional Australia on 4 December 2019.
The Committee will hear from the Regional Australia Institute, a think tank focused on initiatives to develop regional Australia.
“The Regional Australia Institute is at the forefront of some of the key initiatives to encourage more migrants to settle and stay in regional areas,” said Mr Julian Leeser MP, Committee Chair.
“This hearing presents an excellent opportunity to hear from some of the country’s key experts on the settlement and retention of migrants in regional towns and cities,” Mr Leeser continued.
The hearing will be held in Committee Room 1R4 at Parliament House, commencing at 10.00am.
