Police are investigating after the body of a man was located at Coober Pedy yesterday.
Just before 9.30am on Thursday 10 September, police were called to an open cut mine just south of the township of Coober Pedy after a man’s body was located.
At this time, the cause of the man’s death is unknown, and the circumstances are being investigated.
Coober Pedy police are being assisted by Major Crime detectives and Forensic Response officers.
A postmortem will be conducted today.
Police will be preparing a report for the coroner.
