Police are currently on Ballarat Road, Ardeer after a body was located about 7.40pm.
A crime scene has been established and police are yet to confirm the circumstances surrounding the death.
At this stage investigators believe the deceased is a woman in her 20-30s.
Detectives from Major Collision Investigation Unit are en route to establish if the death is vehicular related.
