A body, believed to be that of a man reported missing last week, has been located.
Tuggerah Lakes Police District issued public appeals for information and launched an extensive search after a 48-year-old man was reported missing from Doyalson on Friday 26 January 2024.
During a coordinated multi-agency land search, the body of a man was located in bushland in the Watagan State Forest near Cessnock about 2pm today (Friday 2 February 2024).
Whilst the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing man.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
