A body has been located in the search for a missing man in Newcastle.
Officers attached to Newcastle City Police District commenced inquiries to locate a 60-year-old man, last seen in Lambton on Sunday 23 August 2026.
Following extensive inquiries and a land search, a body – believed to be that of the missing man – was located in Lambton today (Monday 24 August 2026).
The body is yet to be formally identified.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
