Major Crash officers are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Saturday, 10 October 2020 in Boodarie (South Hedland).
About 7pm, a white Toyota Hilux travelling south on the Great Northern Highway and near Powell Road, collided with a white and yellow Kenworth road train travelling in the opposite direction. Both vehicles caught fire.
The driver of the Hilux, a 48-year-old man from South Hedland received critical injuries in the crash and died at the scene.
The 49-year-old male driver of the Kenworth was not injured.
Major Crash investigators wish to speak to anyone who saw the crash or the either vehicle travelling in the area prior to the crash.
