Boosting Small Business: New Digital Grants up for Grabs

NT Government

Applications for the Government’s multi-million dollar Small Business Pivot Grants are now open.

The $4 million scheme is one of seven released in last month’s Budget, that aims to keep Territorians in jobs and small business ticking over during the pandemic.

The Small Business Pivot Grants will enable small businesses who have been impacted by COVID-19 to adapt to the evolving economic environment, and reach new markets.

This particular scheme has a focus on building and supporting businesses with their digital capabilities, including e-commerce solutions and the use of technology to bolster their reach, presence and profitability.

Through this funding, businesses will be able to upgrade and advance their workplaces with new digital equipment and infrastructure.

Grants of up to $10,000 will be available for eligible businesses, with a matched 50:50 co-contribution.

To be eligible, small businesses must be actively trading, with an annual turnover of less than $10 million.

Applications for the Small Business Pivot Grants close on 2 February.

As stated by Minister for Small Business, Paul Kirby:

“We acted quickly to save lives and save jobs – now we’re helping Territory businesses adapt to the new economy.”

“This funding will help small businesses adopt the new technology they need to grow and create more jobs for Territorians.”

“This is an awesome new initiative. It is part of our Jobs First Plan to support Territory small businesses, create jobs and develop new industries.”
