Fawkner Highway Patrol officers are investigating after a child was hit by a car in Mickleham this evening.
It is believed the child was riding a bike along Donnybrook Road when they were struck by a white Hyundai about 5.45pm.
The 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The car stopped at the scene and the female driver was spoken to by police.
An investigation is underway.
