At 25, Brenton Ponza has achieved so much, demonstrating leadership, advocacy, and a strong commitment to his local Boroondara community.
Some of his incredible achievements include:
- 2023 Special Olympics Melbourne Inner East Club Award – Robbie Wright Award issued by Disability Sports and Recreation (Victoria)
- 2023 Boroondara Youth of the Year issued by City of Boroondara
- 2024 Boroondara Citizen of the Year issued by City of Boroondara
- 2024 Person with a Lived Experience – Outstanding Contribution Award awarded by Australasian Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine
- 2025 Volunteer Impact Award – State Awards issued by the Victoria Government
Through various roles such as research advisor, communication advocate, athlete, coach and volunteer, Brenton exemplifies what inclusion and participation look like in everyday life.
