Brimbank.Localised – a new way for businesses to connect to local markets and grow revenue

Council has partnered with Localised introduced an exciting initiative called Brimbank.Localised, to support and help businesses to connect locally and increase their visibility.

Localised is a business-2-business platform with content marketing, business events and marketplace tools to help business owners grow.

The social network for local business helps them find local providers, market themselves and grow their business with increased local revenue.

Brimbank Mayor, Cr Georgina Papafotiou said supporting Brimbank business is an important part of the Brimbank Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response and Recovery Strategy that is guiding a whole-of-council effort to assist local business and residents not just now, but as we recover and rebuild.

Brimbank.Localised is a new and exciting initiative that aims to help businesses promote themselves to a local market and get more revenue.

‘Many businesses want to ‘Think, Shop and Buy Local’ to support other businesses but it can be hard to find a local supplier. Localised changes that because it makes it easier for businesses to find other local businesses, events and projects and promote their own business.

‘Localised provides a platform for business to upload their business details in the online business directory, upload stories and articles to the news feed, look for procurement opportunities in the marketplace and upload and find out about business events.

‘Council encourages businesses to sign up at https://brimbank.localised.com.au,’ Cr Papafotiou said.

Brimbank.Localised is funded by Council and there is no cost for businesses to sign up.

Businesses just need a photo, logo, website and business details to create their profile account and get started.

By signing up businesses will receive ongoing promotion and exposure to other Brimbank businesses, access to local supply chains and local business networks.

Businesses interested in finding out more can attend a business growth and networking webinar on 5 June. For more details and to sign up for the webinar visit brimbank.vic.gov.au and search ‘Brimbank.Localised’.

Council is working actively on many fronts to support local business through an integrated Business Support and Assistance Response under its Brimbank Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response and Recovery Strategy.
