Burglary and theft of BMW in Toorak

Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public information following a burglary and subsequent theft of a BMW in Toorak last month.

It’s believed two unknown offenders approached a Blackfriars Court address in a white Holden utility about 9am on Wednesday, 3 February.

One male offender exited the vehicle and kicked the front door of the property several times before gaining access.

Once inside the man stole sporting equipment, iPads and car keys.

Investigators believe he then took off in a stolen black BMW M6, while the second offender in the white utility followed.

Detectives have today released images of a man and both vehicles as part of their ongoing investigation.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged between 30-35 years with a solid build.

He was wearing black tracksuit pants, a black hooded jumper with small white writing across the front and a black cap with a holographic sticker on the peak.

Anyone who recognises the man, vehicles, or with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
