The City of Ballarat is proud to support the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, established through the State government, Salvation Army and Bendigo Bank to help those communities in need.
Crowd numbers at Lake Wendouree (estimated between 10,000-15,000) were consistent with previous years when 26 January has fallen on a weekend.
A number of Councillors, staff and representatives from the Bendigo Bank helped collect donations totalling $1400.
Ballarat Mayor, Cr Ben Taylor said the City was grateful for the Ballarat community’s continued support of the Appeal through the various avenues available. Donations can continue to be made online and through any Bendigo Bank branch.
