Business & Coronavirus Update – 9 June 2020

Dear Businesses,

Council has welcomed the easing of restrictions to now allow more businesses to open and welcome visitors to Noosa. We are now working to support businesses to open in line with the new Health Directives and in a COVID Safe manner. We’re committed to working together to protect our community.

  • Helping you make sure your business is COVID Safe – Not sure how to re-open safely and in line with the Health Directives? With stage 2 COVID-19 restrictions easing, it is important that all business owners understand their obligations to ensure their premises are safe for staff and customers. What you need to do depends on which industry you operate in and how many patrons you can safely accommodate in your workplace. Council has collated Industry Information for Café/Restaurants; Beauty Therapy/Nail Salons, Retail; Accommodation & Tourism Businesses, which outline key points for operating within the restrictions, including posters that can be displayed at your workplace. These are available at Council’s Business and COVID webpage.

Council’s Environmental Health Officers and State Government COVID Safe Ambassadors are also visiting businesses across our precincts providing guidance on how to make sure your business is COVID Safe.

If you’re not sure what your obligations are, specific advice can be sought from the Business and COVID Hotline on 134 COVID (134 268 43) or on the COVID-19 Website.
