Business succession planning workshop

Business owners who are thinking about moving on to new opportunities can hear how to prepare their business for its next step at a succession planning workshop in Batemans Bay.

A partnership between Eurobodalla Council and the Batemans Bay Business and Tourism Chamber, the workshops will give businesspeople practical strategies for the future, including exit strategies.

Eurobodalla Council’s bushfire recovery business liaison officer said the past two years had been a rollercoaster for local businesses, first with the fires and then COVID.

“We know there are business owners out there who might be craving a change or thinking about retirement,” she said.

“The workshop will look at the things they can put in place now to help get their business ready for that next step, whenever that might be.”

Speakers will include Chris Park from BHM Lawyers and Juanita Sharp from Hales Douglass Pty Ltd, who will talk about the financial and legal obligations that need to be considered when leaving a business.

The free workshop will be held on Tuesday 11 May from 6-7.30pm at Club Catalina and includes a light meal.
