Rugby Australia and Brumbies Rugby are pleased to announce Cadeyrn Neville has re-signed with Australian Rugby until the end of 2023.

The 33-year-old joined the Brumbies at the start of 2020 after three years in the Japanese Top League and has become an integral member of the Canberra side over the past three seasons.

Neville’s performances in Brumbies colours during this time have also been recognised at a national level with selection in Wallabies training camps in both 2021 and 2022.

Born in Manly, Neville has also represented the Melbourne Rebels and the Queensland Reds in Super Rugby.

Brumbies lock, Cadeyrn Neville said: “My time at the Brumbies has been one of the best chapters of my career and life with some excellent people so I’m keen to continue that while I can.”

“I would still love to play for Wallabies but particular at this time of the year 100% of my focus is on what I can do to help win games and hopefully finals for the Brumbies.”

Brumbies coach Dan McKellar said: “It’s great for the Brumbies to have Cadeyrn locked in for next year.”

“He’s had some bad luck with injuries at times but when fit, he’s been one of our best since 2020 and with his experience, he’s invaluable to our locks who are still honing their craft.

“Cadeyrn’s contribution around the environment, in team meetings and just his professionalism is something people don’t see and has a tremendous impact on the group.”
