As the 1-year mark of the October 2022 flood event approaches, people are encouraged to nominate the unsung heroes who helped out during the October 2022 flood event and ongoing recovery.
The Community Champions Recognition Program is now open, inviting people to nominate fellow community members. This is a unique opportunity for the community to share the stories of these champions and to say thank you to the many people, organisations and businesses who truly made a difference.
Recipients will be selected by the Seymour Community Recovery Committee and will be announced at a special flood event at the Recovery Hub on Saturday 14 October.
Nominations are open until Friday 22 September 2023.
