Businesses, organisations and service providers can now register their interest to be part of this year’s Townsville City Council Seniors Lifestyle Expo.
As part of Seniors Week, the Expo will take over Townsville Stadium on Tuesday, 18 August, and feature a range of exhibitors promoting independence, wellbeing and active lifestyles.
Townsville Mayor Nick Dametto said the event was always well-attended by residents.
“Seniors Week is a massive week for Council, kicking off with the Seniors Lifestyle Expo on the Tuesday before the Seniors Luncheons on the Thursday and Friday,” Cr Dametto said.
“Council is looking for organisations, businesses and groups to register their interest to exhibit at this year’s expo, particularly those who offer information on healthcare, mobility aids, finance, recreation, travel, technology and support services.
“These events draw huge crowds and having all of these offerings in the same place means our senior residents can find a wide range of important information during one day out.”
The theme for this year’s Seniors Lifestyle Expo and Luncheon is Golden Age of Hollywood, celebrating red carpets and golden trophies during the height of the moving picture revolution.
Registrations for exhibitors are open now and close on Tuesday 28 July. Click here to register.
Tickets for Seniors Luncheon will be available through the Townsville Ticketshop from Tuesday 14 July.
