Callout to Tasmanians to support local businesses this Black Friday

Dean Young,

The Rockliff Liberal Government is encouraging Tasmanians to think local and shop local this Black Friday to support Tasmanian businesses.

Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business and Industry, Dean Young, said this Black Friday we’re urging Tasmanians to support our local businesses so they can continue to thrive.

“If you are looking to spend this Black Friday, I want to really encourage Tasmanians to think local, and support our local businesses right here on the ground – whether it’s in Hobart, Launceston, Burnie or in our regional communities – so they can continue to have the confidence they need to grow,” Mr Young said.

“Small businesses are the engine room of our economy, powered by the determination and hard work of proud Tasmanians and we back them to the hilt.

“Through the Rockliff Liberal Government’s long term plan to keep our economy strong and create more jobs has delivered positive reforms to make doing business and life in Tasmania even simpler, easier and more productive.

“When Tasmanian businesses are going well, Tasmania is going well, our economy is strong, and we can invest more into the essential services that Tasmanians need.

“We’ll continue to back our businesses so that Tasmania is one of the best places in Australia in which to do business.”
