At tonight’s Council Meeting, Council resolved to seek community feedback on options for the installation of additional play equipment and other forms of informal play elements at the newly expanded Cambridge Street Reserve in Collingwood.
The resolution includes considering the installation of other items of play equipment, nature play, and options for four-square.
Yarra City Council Mayor Cr Edward Crossland said that creating more open space for our community is a priority for Council.
“We are proud to have responded to our community’s needs with the expansion and upgrade of Cambridge Street Reserve in Collingwood.”
“However, we understand things can change and are open to considering community needs as they emerge,” he said.
“We encourage everyone in the local community to have their say and contribute to the engagement process so that we can make sure Cambridge Street Reserve meets the needs of the community,” the Mayor said.
Council will begin the community consultation next week on Your Say Yarra, stay tuned for more details.
