Cancer Council WA is delighted with the announcement Dr Ruth Shean, President of Cancer Council WA, has been recognised in the 2022 Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Dr Shean has received Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for her work in public administration, non-for-profit and community organisations.

Her strong reputation in human services and governance includes having worked in senior leadership roles across the WA government, and non-government organisations – including time as the Executive Officer of the Australian Council on Smoking and Health.

In November 2019, Ruth was elected as President of Cancer Council WA and Chair of the Board. Ruth is also a Board member of Cancer Council Australia.

Congratulations Ruth, on this outstanding achievement.
