Around 5.55pm last night, 29 January 2020, a silver Holden Astra hatchback was travelling west along Las Ramblas Crescent in Clarkson when it is alleged the driver of a red VW Golf hatchback failed to give way and pulled out from Cherokee Green directly into the path of the Holden Astra on Las Ramblas Crescent.
The vehicles collided and the force of the crash caused the driver of the Holden Astra to lose control of the vehicle. The Holden Astra travelled over a verge, through a fence, over a limestone retaining wall, before coming to a stop partially inside the front room of a house on Las Ramblas Crescent.
Both drivers and the occupants of the home were not injured.
The driver of the VW Golf, a woman in her 40s was issued a Traffic Infringement Notice for Fail to Give Way to Vehicle on Continuing Road.
