Caravans stolen in Melbourne’s north-west

Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after three caravans were stolen from sales yards at Epping, Craigieburn and Campbellfield on 24 November.

Police have been told two unknown men driving a stolen Toyota Hilux cut through a fence to a caravan yard at Gateway Boulevard in Epping just before 1.30am.

The pair stole a ‘Jayco Silverline Outback’ caravan.

The offenders then attended a yard on Grasslands Avenue in Craigieburn about 2.45am and used power tools to cut through a metal gate.

They used the same Toyota Hilux to tow away a Leader caravan.

Later that night, the offenders again used the Hilux to ram a fence at a caravan sales yard on Link Drive in Campbellfield just after 11pm.

A ‘Retreat Whitsunday 21OR’ caravan was towed away.

Police located the stolen Toyota Hilux in Roxburgh Park on 26 November, however they are still to locate the stolen caravans worth more than $200,000.

Investigators have released images of the stolen vehicle and Jayco caravan in the hope someone may have information.
