Our region’s carers will have the chance to find out about local community groups, upcoming events and engage with local agencies and support services at a special Carers Expo on Tuesday 26 March.

The expo, which will be held from 10am to 2pm at Powerhouse Place, will feature a range of information and resources, giveaways for all ages and a sausage sizzle.

“Whether you’re on a journey of self-discovery, advocating for a family member, or championing a friend’s cause, this expo will provide the perfect platform to amass knowledge, establish meaningful connections and discover resources that can make a significant impact,” Councillor for Community Health and Wellbeing Troy Bailey said.

Cr Bailey said carers played a vital role in our community, providing comfort and support for many.

“Carers may be partners, parents, sons or daughters, siblings, other relatives, friends or neighbours.

“There is a wide range of local services and organisations that support the health, wellbeing and independence of carers and the people they support, those attending will have the opportunity to find out more and make meaningful connections.”

Mildura Rural City Council’s Carers Expo is being held in partnership with Carers Victoria.

Those interested in attending are asked to register at https://events.humanitix.com/carer-expo for catering purposes.
