Cash, drugs found after low-speed crash at Parramatta, NSW

Cash and drugs have been seized after a stolen SUV crashed into a light pole at Parramatta overnight.

The crash happened about 10.15pm (Monday 27 January 2020), when the 2019-model Prado hit the pole at slow speed at the intersection of Station and Hassall streets.

Emergency services were alerted when the driver was found unconscious; the 27-year-old Narara man was treated at the scene before being taken to Auburn Hospital for mandatory testing.

When police searched the vehicle, they found drugs and cash, as well as ID and credit cards. These have been seized for further investigation.

The vehicle had been reported stolen from a home at Mt Pritchard on Thursday 16 January 2020.
