CCTV released after aggravated break and enter at Tamworth, NSW

Police are appealing for public assistance as part of investigations into an aggravated break and enter at Tamworth, in the state’s north east overnight.

About 1.15am (Tuesday 3 May 2022), two men forced entry to a home on Nyrang Avenue, waking the occupant, 54-year-old man.

The occupant told the men to leave; however, they refused before threatening him and throwing a rock through a glass panel.

The pair left the home but returned a short time later and assaulted the man by knocking him to the ground.

He managed to run to his car parked outside and, following a short struggle, fled the area and attended Tamworth Police Station.

Shortly after the man attended Tamworth Hospital for treatment of a laceration to his head.

As inquiries into the incident continue, investigators have released CCTV of two men who they believe can assist them.
