CCTV released as Strike Force Mealing established to investigate unlawful protest activity

Police investigating unlawful protest activity last week have released CCTV images in an appeal for public assistance.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command, Central Metropolitan Region and other specialist commands, responded to protest activity in Sydney’s CBD last Monday (9 October 2023).

Strike Force Mealing has now been established to investigate reported unlawful activity committed during protests across Sydney.

As inquiries continue, strike force investigators have today released images of a man they wish to speak with as part of their inquiries.

The man is described as being of medium to heavy build, with short dark hair and beard, and, at the time, he was wearing spectacles.

The man is depicted in the vision wearing a black hooded jacket, grey pants, black shoes, and a black and white scarf.
