10 August 2026. Holly Bretherton, AgForce Head of Commercial & Member Engagement.
I recently joined AgForce Queensland as Head of Commercial and Member Engagement after spending more than 25 years working with membership organisations, including Queensland Law Society and AMA Queensland.
This role feels like a bit of a homecoming. I grew up on a small beef cattle property in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, running Angus and Murray Grey cattle through the 1980s. Those early experiences gave me a lasting appreciation for the resilience, challenges and opportunities that come with life on the land.
Being able to work alongside Queensland’s primary producers and contribute to an organisation that supports and advocates for them is incredibly rewarding. In many ways, it doesn’t feel like work at all.
AgForce exists to ensure Queensland’s primary producers have a strong and effective voice on the issues that matter most to their businesses, families and communities. Every day, the organisation works alongside members to advocate for practical outcomes that support a productive, profitable and sustainable agricultural sector.
From biosecurity and disaster preparedness to property rights, environmental regulation, workforce shortages and regional infrastructure, AgForce is focused on helping producers navigate an increasingly complex operating environment. Just as importantly, it works to reduce unnecessary barriers, create opportunities and ensure agriculture remains a key driver of Queensland’s economy and regional prosperity.
At AgForce’s heart is a strong network of members, industry leaders, staff and partners who share a commitment to supporting Queensland agriculture. Through the combined efforts of Regional Engagement and Membership Managers, the Board, Regional Councils, Commodity Boards and valued corporate partners, AgForce stays closely connected to the priorities of producers across the state. Those relationships help ensure the organisation’s advocacy is informed, relevant and focused on delivering outcomes that make a real difference.
We’re committed to providing value well beyond representation alone. Our corporate partners play an important role here. By combining strong advocacy with practical member benefits, industry engagement opportunities and access to trusted information and support, our aim is to help producers address today’s challenges while preparing for the opportunities of tomorrow.
We want to deliver meaningful value for our members and for our partners, and ensuring every interaction with AgForce is positive, productive and worthwhile.
I’d love to hear from you. Your feedback, ideas and insights are invaluable in helping us strengthen member value and develop benefits and services that genuinely meet your needs.
