Charge laid after sexually touching in Northmead

A man has been charged after allegedly sexually touching a woman on a bus near Northmead last month.

Shortly before 9am on Monday 23 September 2019, a 26-year-old woman boarded a bus on Northern Road, Baulkham Hills, when she was approached and allegedly touched inappropriately by a man seated behind her.

The woman confronted the man, he then got off the bus on Windsor Road, Northmead.

Officers from North West Transport Action Group were notified and commenced an investigation.

About 5.30pm yesterday (Thursday 10 October 2019), following inquiries, police arrested a 23-year-old man at a shopping centre at Parramatta.

The Castle Hill man was taken to Parramatta Police Station where he was charged with sexually touch another person without consent.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 20 November 2019.
