Officers from Darwin Traffic Operations have charged a 52-year-old male with traffic offences.
The man was arrested on McMillans Road, Northlakes, around 11:45pm yesterday.
Senior Sergeant Angela Stringer said this incident was particularly disappointing considering the man’s extensive history of driving unlicensed.
“The complete disregard for the law and other people’s safety including that of a child is shocking,” she said.
The man has been charged with:
- Drive Vehicle With Faulty Lights
- Drive a Motor Vehicle While Unlicensed
- Drive With Child – Seat Belt Not Fastened
He is due to appear in Darwin Local Court on 13 February 2019.
