Hawkesbury Central Library is running a social chess club for adults every Friday from 2pm to 5pm until 29 May.
Whether you’re a novice or a champion chess player, drop in to Hawkesbury Central Library and join us for a friendly game of chess. There are many surprising benefits to playing chess including:
- exercising both sides of the brain
- it’s fun and a great way to be social
- boosts dendrite growth in the brain
- increases problem solving skills.
No bookings are required, just turn up at the library and have a game of chess. The library will provide chess sets so players can compete simultaneously, and a volunteer will be available for any tips for amateurs.
