Christmas Design Competition 2023: Bayside

Bayside Council is once again calling on local artists to submit entries in its annual Christmas Street Flag and Card competition.

“This popular competition has been enthusiastically embraced by our artistic community and I look forward to seeing the winning designs flying around Bayside this Christmas,” Mayor Dr Christina Curry said.

The competition, open to all residents and local school children, is an opportunity to capture the meaning of an Australian, multicultural Christmas that reflects Bayside’s diverse community.

The winning Christmas flag entry will be reproduced on street flags and banners that will be flown across Bayside from December.

The winning Christmas Card design will be used as Council’s official Christmas card that is sent out by the Mayor and Councillors.

The winning designs may also form part of Council’s Christmas displays, printed material and online promotions.

Submissions can be hand drawn, photographs or digital designs however they must conform to a predefined template that fits with Council branding principles and logo requirements and be suitable for use on a street flag and banner.
