Church fire at Christies Beach, South Australia

Police are investigating a fire at Christies Beach overnight.

About 12.15am on Sunday 6 February, police and MFS were alerted to a fire at a church on Dyson Road. Flames were reported coming from the roof of the vacant building.

Northbound traffic was blocked on Dyson Road while fire crews worked to bring the blaze under control. Unfortunately, the building was completely destroyed by the fire.

Fire Cause Investigators attended to determine the cause of the fire however the structure is not safe to enter at this time.

Southern District CIB are investigating and ask anyone with information on the fire to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
