The Chief Executive of the ACT Government’s City Renewal Authority, Malcolm Snow, will retire in June 2024. He has decided to step down from his full-time role as CEO of the Authority after five decades of working in the built environment field.
The Authority’s Board thanks Mr Snow for more than six years of outstanding service.
During his time with the Authority, Mr Snow has led the formulation and implementation of the successful City Precinct Renewal Program which is transforming central Canberra, attracting new investment and strengthening the primacy of the City Centre as the heart and soul of the National Capital.
Key renewal initiatives implemented under Mr Snow’s leadership have included further stages of the Acton Waterfront project, upgrades of the city centre’s public realm and its activation, and his instigation of the Canberra Civic and Cultural District concept.
Prior to taking up his role as the inaugural CEO of the Authority in 2017 Malcolm was the CEO of Southbank Corporation in Brisbane, the CEO of the National Capital Authority and a Director of international advisory firm URBIS.
The Authority will now commence the recruitment of a new CEO to lead the organisation.
