Clinical trial recruiting for OCD investigational medication

Researchers at the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine are conducting a clinical trial of an investigational medication for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), compared to a placebo. They are looking for participants with OCD between the ages of 18 and 65 who are not satisfied with their current medication.

Participants in the study will receive either an investigational medication or a placebo, which will be added on to the participants’ current treatment. Involvement in the study includes five visits to the clinic over 12 weeks, with the option to continue taking the medication for up to 48 additional weeks. Participants receiving a placebo will be switched to the investigational medication after the first 12 weeks, if they decide to continue in the study. Individuals will be compensated for their time and participation.
