Clipsal MAX9 recognised at 2022 Australian Good Design Awards

Clipsal by Schneider Electric

Leading Australian electrical safety and energy solutions innovator, Clipsal by Schneider Electric (Clipsal) has announced its new residential circuit protection range MAX9, has won an award at the 2022 Australian Good Design Awards.

Built with electricians, for electricians, the new product was recognised as part of the Product Design: Hardware and Building category for decreasing the installation speeds and increasing performance levels to raise the current standard of circuit protection.

Founded in 1958, the Australian Good Design Awards is one of the longest running international design awards in the world, celebrating best-in-class design and highlighting innovative products available to consumers worldwide.

Each category was judged by a panel of more than 70 designers, engineers, architects, and thought leaders who came together to champion process and system designs that underpin Australian homes, businesses, industries, economies, and lifestyles.

Speaking of the win, Clipsal’s Design Director, Asia Pacific, Tim Turrini-Rochford, says “MAX9 is the next generation of circuit protection devices that will help keep Australian homes safe. We are honoured and extremely proud to be recognised by the esteemed Australian Good Design Awards at this year’s ceremony.”

Clipsal’s MAX9 allows electricians to achieve up to 15 times faster installation speed with the MAXBAR that helps connect all types of Clipsal RCBOs with the main switch. The MAXBAR eliminates the need for cables on the line side of RBCOs by distributing both active and neutral feed to all types of Clipsal RCBOs, creating a neat overall look of the installation.

Clipsal implemented new concepts during the inception of this project, placing QR codes on products to access all relevant information in one place and pictogram icons to help simplify the safety conversation with homeowners. MAX9’s product architecture shares visual elements which creates consistency across the range.

“We invest heavily in research and development to ensure end users and installers have a better overall experience when they choose Clipsal products. We are determined to empower electricians and customers with smart, energy efficient, and intuitively designed solutions that can be incorporated into their residential or commercial planning,” said Tim Turrini-Rochford.

Clipsal’s MAX9 range is now available on the Clipsal website and at wholesale locations. F
