Coles lowers the cost of barbequeing by up to 25%

As the weather heats up and Aussies fire up the barbecues, so do meat savings across Coles supermarkets nationwide.

From today, Coles is launching a new $5 rump steak and has been cutting the prices of popular meat lines in time for the Spring entertaining season.

Customers can save across the meat aisle on products including:

  • New Drovers Choice Beef Rump Steak 230g $5 Every Day
  • Coles Lamb Ribs with Moroccan Glaze was $19kg Down Down to $16kg [save 16%]
  • Coles Pork Loin Steak Thin Cut 500g, was $10 Down Down to $8.50 [save15%, excluding WA]
  • Coles RSPCA Chicken Kebabs Honey & Soy Bulk 750g $10 Down Down to $9.50 [save 5%]
  • Coles Australian Lamb Butterfly Leg, was $21kg Down Down to $20kg [save 5%]

Until 3 November 2020, Coles customers can also save up to 25% off on selected barbecue cuts with ‘Mix and Save’ 2 for $12 promotion on 20 products[1] including Chicken Kiev, Burgers, Sausages and Steaks.

Coles General Manager of Meat, Deli and Seafood Charlotte Gilbert said Coles is committed to helping lower the cost of living by providing great value on meat products across the country.

“We know this is a particularly challenging time for so many Australians, so we’ve made a significant investment to lower the cost of products in the areas that matter, when it matters,” she said.

“We’ve launched a $5 rump steak 230g because we wanted customers to have a great eating experience while also getting more value at the checkout. It’s a fantastic option that’s great quality, 100% Australian beef with no added hormones which we know customers will love.

“At Coles, our farmers believe that good quality beef doesn’t need added hormones and we’re proud to still be the only national supermarket with 100% Aussie beef with no added hormones in our Coles fresh beef range.”

Earlier this month, Coles slashed the price of 190 products helping to lower the cost of popular staple products at a time when many Australian families are doing it tough.

Prices of products on the chopping block included Steggles Chicken 1kg varieties by 45%, Nature’s Gift dog food by up to 30%, Alpro yoghurt varieties by 14% and RSPCA approved whole chooks dropped to just $3.90.

Over the past12 months, Coles has delivered millions of dollars in savings across the store through trusted value initiatives including the addition of 326 further products to the Down Down program.
