Comanchero OMCG associate charged with drug offences

Maxima detectives have charged a 31-year-old Gold Coast man with links to the Comanchero Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) with 128 drug offences as part of an operation targeting the criminal activities of outlaw motorcycle gangs (OMCG).

As part of ongoing tactical action targeting members and associates of OMCGs, detectives from Maxima, Organised Crime Gangs Group, intercepted a vehicle at East Brisbane at approximately 10pm on June 7.

During the search of the vehicle, officers located quantities of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $70,000.

Following further investigations, detectives executed a search warrant on a Surfers Paradise address on June 17, where police located further quantities of dangerous drugs including cocaine, methylamphetamine, and cannabis, along with scales and drug utensils.

A 31-year-old Surfers Paradise man, the driver of the vehicle stopped, was charged with 128 offences relating to drug trafficking, supply and possession.

Detectives will allege the man is an associate of the Comancheros OMCG.

He is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, June 21.

Investigations remain ongoing.
