Community gardens, a street barbecue, a sports day and a laneway party are among the activities funded under Wollongong City Council’s Connecting Neighbours Grants.
Now in its third round, the grants program aims to strengthen and celebrate neighbourhoods at the grass roots level, creating connections and building strong communities.
The 11 successful 2019-2020 grant recipients, endorsed by Council last night, all proposed projects to make a positive impact in their local area.
