Eight important community and cultural initiatives will receive funding through Round 2 of AlburyCity’s 2022/23 Community and Cultural Grants Program.
The program provides not-for-profit community groups and individuals with funding to undertake community and cultural programs that develop community capacity, meet a community need, or provide the community with a cultural experience.
The sucessful applicants include:
- West Side Community Centre – Establish a Womens Empowerment Group and continue the Seniors Social Group
- Jo-Ann Lancaster / Acrobat Pty Ltd – World Repair Services bike-pulled music stage from Oddies Creek to Albury Skate Park
- Table Top Public P&C – Two-week Artist in Residence Program, providing daily artistic practice to students at Table Top Public School and the broader community
- Mercy Connect – Outdoor open-air cinema experience at St John’s Ambulance for those in our community living with a disability
- Albury Wodonga Foodshare – Support our Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) and Indigenous community members that are in need of food support with vouchers and hampers
- Uncle Phil Murray – Workshops for men and boys to learn how to make and play the Yidaki (Aboriginal word for didgeridoo in eastern Arnhem Land)
- Bricks On the Border – Brickmuster two-day LEGO show, bringing exhibitors from across Australia and a supervised build zone for kids
AlburyCity Mayor Kylie King congratulated all the applicants.
“It’s wonderful to see passionate people in our community thinking outside the box and creating these special programs for others in our city to enjoy and benefit from.”

Applications for Round 1 of AlburyCity’s Community and Cultural Grants Program 2023/24 will open on 1 August 2023.
