Residents’ passion for the environment well and truly shined on Friday 28 July when the National Tree Day giveaway took place in the Kempsey Shire.
Kempsey Shire Council is thrilled to share the success of this year’s National Tree Day celebration, made possible with the incredible support of our wonderful community. Working hand in hand with Macleay Valley Landcare, we organised a special event that brought our community together for a common cause – a greener and more sustainable tomorrow.
The numbers from the day speak volumes: 60 fruit trees, 400 vegetable seedlings, 1430 native plants, and around 300 seed packs were distributed to eager hands.
It was inspiring to see so many families and individuals coming forward to take part in this initiative, displaying their genuine care for the environment and the future.
