APPLICATIONS are now open for Aurora Energy’s second round of grants for 2020, designed to help Tasmanian community groups stay connected.
Reinforcing its commitment to the Tasmanian community, the grants offer eligible organisations up to $10,000 towards a project which will help drive inclusion and engage communities impacted by social isolation.
Aurora Energy Community Program Coordinator, Tiffany Hedge said the grants were a fantastic opportunity for organisations across the state to remain connected as we continue to adapt to the new normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We know a lot of Tasmanian community groups are struggling at the moment and as a proud Tasmanian organisation we’re pleased that we can lend a helping hand during these tough times because it’s our community too,” Mrs Hedge said.
“We hope these grants will help to ease the financial burden of these groups, and assist them and their stakeholders to reconnect in a safe environment.”
All activities must comply with current social distancing restrictions as indicated by the Tasmanian Government’s Roadmap to Recovery.
Applications close Friday, 30 October 2020 and grant recipients will be announced mid-November.
