What does Griffith look like through the eyes of its young people? A new mural set to be unveiled next week offers a colourful answer in one striking artwork.
The YOUth Vision: Mosaic Mural project saw 20 young people take part in two workshops, transforming their ideas and experiences into a large-scale artwork made up of 36 individual canvas tiles.
More than a mural, the finished artwork is a visual reflection of how young people see their community. The project was shaped through a co-design process, building on ideas shared through the Changemakers Forum and Life Skills Workshops, with young people from across Griffith helping guide the mural’s themes, design and creative direction from the beginning.
