RMIT Europe Joins Cities4Children Alliance

RMIT Europe has become a member of the Cities4Children Alliance, strengthening its commitment to creating healthier, more inclusive and child-friendly cities through research, innovation and collaboration.

Cities4Children is a global alliance bringing together more than 25 organisations working to ensure children’s and young people’s needs, rights and voices are reflected in urban policy and practice.

RMIT Europe‘s membership builds on its work in urban innovation and social impact, connecting researchers and partners across sectors to address complex city challenges.

Dr Sara Candiracci, Director of Innovation Partnerships at RMIT Europe and a member of the Cities4Children steering committee, said the alliance provides an important platform for collaboration.

“It is an honour to join the Cities4Children Alliance’s Steering Committee and contribute RMIT Europe’s research, innovation and education expertise to this important global effort.”

“We look forward to sharing knowledge, building capacity and helping translate children’s voices into more inclusive, healthy and child-friendly urban policy and practice,” she said.

The membership also complements RMIT’s recent partnership with Novo Nordisk, Arup, Save the Children, Right To Play, International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA) and the Van Leer Foundation on the Active Play Challenge 2026, a global initiative that supports innovative approaches to active play for children and young people.

By joining the Cities4Children Alliance, RMIT Europe will contribute to global efforts to ensure cities are designed with future generations in mind.
