A constable from Southern Metro Region has been charged on summons with alleged drink driving in Rye on 5 February, 2021.
The 33-year-old male officer allegedly returned a reading of 0.137 while off-duty.
His licence was immediately suspended for 13 months and his car was impounded for 30 days.
He will appear before a Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
