The first phase of community consultation has commenced for the major redevelopment of Deloraine High School.
The $16.5 million project is part of the Tasmanian Government’s $188 million School Building Blitz, which is delivering major upgrades to 15 schools across the State.
Minister for Education, Jo Palmer, said the views of students, staff and the broader community will be core to developing the master plan and the final scope of works to be delivered at Deloraine High School.
“We are investing in new and upgraded facilities for students and staff, supporting quality teaching and learning,” Minister Palmer said.
“Our Government has delivered record investment in new and upgraded education facilities over the past decade, and we are full steam ahead on delivering even more.
“We know this is more than just an investment in new buildings; it’s an investment in the future of our learners.
“Through our Government’s 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future, we are continuing our strong record of delivering world-class educational facilities that support our students to grow and thrive.”
The first phase of consultation for Deloraine High School will be open until 2 October 2026.
