Townsville City Council is conducting controlled burns at Mount Louisa and Belgian Gardens from tomorrow – weather permitting.
The controlled burns are being completed in partnership with the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, the Department of Defence and the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy.
Council asks all residents to take care and follow directions from staff during the controlled burns.
Residents with medical conditions affected by smoke are encouraged to take precautions on the day.
