Coronavirus – continued regulation of earth resources sites

Earth Resources Regulation is continuing to deliver its work to enable critical quarry, mine and gas industry sites to keep operating while ensuring the community and environment are protected.

For the latest coronavirus (COVID-19) health-related information and advice, please visit the Department of Health and Human Services website. We ask all organisations and businesses we work with to ensure they understand their responsibilities and keep up to date with the latest health advice.

We will continue to review our day-to-day activities to ensure we deliver our priorities and core regulatory functions. We are focussing our effort where it is needed most.

Site visits

We are doing everything we can to protect the health and wellbeing of our employees and those of the organisations we work with.

Site visits will only take place if absolutely required, contact will be made before starting any face-to-face interaction.

Using online systems

If you are planning to send something to Earth Resources Regulation via post or in person, please first consider if the document(s) can be emailed or provided through RRAM.

Some of our manual processes have been impacted by our response to coronavirus (COVID-19) including the prompt opening of mail. Please contact your relevant licensing or assessment officer for advice if you have a current application. Otherwise, call 136 186 before sending anything to check what options there may be.
