Coronavirus update for Victoria 20 June 2022

There are 418 COVID-19 cases in hospital in Victoria – with 16 active cases in ICU, including 9 on a ventilator, and an additional 5 cleared cases in ICU.

6,271,382 vaccine doses have been administered by Victoria’s state-commissioned services, with 248 doses administered yesterday at state-run centres.

68.1 per cent of Victorians aged 16 and over have had 3 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. 94.6 per cent of Victorians aged 12 and over have had 2 doses.

5,661 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded yesterday. This includes 4,410 who tested positive on a Rapid Antigen Test and 1,251 who returned a positive result on a PCR test.

The Department was notified of no new or historical deaths yesterday. The total number of deaths in Victoria since the pandemic began remains 3,750.

There are 41,199 active cases in Victoria.

8,553 PCR tests were processed yesterday. The total number of PCR tests performed in Victoria since the pandemic began is 21,303,209.

Update to pandemic orders

As part of Victoria’s ongoing management of the coronavirus pandemic, changes to pandemic orders will come into effect from 11:59pm, Friday 24 June.
