Swan Hill Rural City Council is undertaking a comprehensive drainage study for the Swan Hill and Robinvale townships. This critical study aims to define local flood behaviour, identify existing drainage issues, assess potential mitigation options, and recommend a forward works program for each town.
Council’s Acting CEO Leah Johnston said Council were inviting the community to actively participate in this process by attending our upcoming drop-in sessions.
“Our community information sessions provide an opportunity for residents to share their experiences, offer suggestions for improving local drainage, and discuss possible solutions.
“We encourage residents to bring photos of drainage issues, which can be on a phone, USB, or memory card.
“Those with knowledge of past flooding or current drainage problems around Swan Hill and Robinvale are highly encouraged to attend and contribute their insights,” she said.
Ms Johnston said for those unable to attend the sessions in person, feedback can be submitted online.
