Council launches new register of annual contract opportunities

Port Macquarie-Hastings

Port Macquarie Hastings Council (PMHC) has made it easier for companies, contractors and suppliers to do businesses with us thanks to the launch of a new 12-month procurement register.

The ‘Procurement Pipeline’ is a high-level overview of forecasted procurement opportunities that PMHC has planned for delivery over the next year. It has been developed to enable contractors to better plan and resource for future opportunities that align with their business interests.

PMHC Group Manager Procurement, Inez Young, said the new pipeline aims to provide greater transparency between PMHC and the business community.

“We wanted to enhance the transparency of our procurement processes and give companies, contractors and suppliers the ability to see the options available to them over a 12-month period,” Group Manager Procurement, Inez Young said.

“By providing this information, we wanted to create a more open procurement process that benefits both our organisation and our local businesses. We believe this level of transparency and communication will be key to building strong relationships with our suppliers and supporting our local economy.”

Currently, notice of procurement opportunities are only available through formal notification when the opportunity is ready for market engagement. The new pipeline process changes this by giving early notice, allowing PMHC to move beyond regulatory obligations towards adopting a more efficient procurement process.

While PMHC aims to be as accurate as possible, the list of opportunities is indicative only and is subject to change at any time.

PMHC encourages anyone with an interest in upcoming opportunities to register their details on our easy-to-use eProcurement portal. By registering, you’ll have access to all our latest procurement opportunities, ensuring that you never miss a chance to work with us.
